Reshta
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Reshta ("the App"), a personal budget planning application, handles your information when you use it on Android or iOS.
1. Data controller
The data controller is the individual developer identified on the Reshta listing in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store ("we", "us"). For privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at twoclickslater@gmail.com.
2. Summary
3. Data stored on your device
Reshta keeps all your financial planning data local. The App uses an on-device database to store payments, categories, forecasts, savings goals, and app settings. This data never leaves your phone or tablet during normal use.
If you use a system share sheet or file export feature (where available), data is sent only to the destination you choose — we have no access to it.
We do not operate any backend server that receives your budget database.
4. Google Firebase
We use the following Firebase services, all subject to the Google Privacy Policy:
- Firebase Analytics — aggregated, anonymised usage data (for example, which screens are opened and how often). It may collect device identifiers and interaction events as described in Firebase's privacy documentation. You can opt out via your device's ad-tracking settings.
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash logs and diagnostic data (device model, OS version, stack traces) sent when the App fails, so we can fix bugs.
- Firebase Remote Config — fetches configuration values (such as feature limits and store links) from Google's servers on app start. This may send your device type and App version to Google.
- Firebase Performance Monitoring — measures App start time and network request performance. Sends timing and device data to Google.
5. Local notifications
If you enable payment reminders, the App schedules notifications entirely on your device using the OS notification system. No notification content is sent to any server — it never leaves your device.
6. Third-party libraries
The App is built with open-source libraries and integrates platform services from Google (Android) and Apple (iOS). These operate under their own privacy policies. The App does not include social login SDKs or third-party advertising networks.
If in-app purchase functionality is enabled in a future version, it will use RevenueCat for subscription management. That section of this policy will be updated before the feature is released.
7. Data retention
On-device data is kept until you delete the App, clear its data, or remove records inside the App yourself. Google retains Firebase analytics and crash data according to their own retention settings (typically 2–14 months for Analytics, 90 days for Crashlytics).
8. Security
We rely on platform-level security: device encryption and OS app sandboxing. No remote transmission of your budget data occurs during normal app use. As always, we recommend keeping your device's OS updated and using a device lock.
9. Children
Reshta is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR in the EU or CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data we hold about you.
Because your budget data is stored locally on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly — simply edit or delete records in the App, or uninstall it. For data held by Google as a data processor (Analytics, Crashlytics), you can use Google's privacy tools.
For any other requests, email us at twoclickslater@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" at the top will reflect the most recent revision. For significant changes, we will post a notice inside the App or on this page before they take effect.
